This is very much individual to each person and their situation. For some, an occasional session can be enough but If you’re looking to thoroughly address a situation, a course of treatments is the best way forward. A course of treatment will allow your body the time to release the layers of issues which have brought you to Spinal Flow in the first place and to a place of honouring wellness.

Where physically possible, you will lay on a massage table. You will be required to wear or take with you, comfortable clothing. Jeans and control leggings will not be suitable for any Spinal Flow treatments. I apply light touch to parts of your spine including the lower spine, head, legs and feet to encourage the flow within your body. Some people will sometimes feel the need to move during a treatment but this is not necessary and will be entirely dependent on your individual response at any given time.
-
You can let me know if there are any issues I need to know that have changed since your last treatment but on average for an adult it will be a 30 minute treatment but please do allow 40 minutes. Exceptions to this are available but should be discussed with me in advance. If the person being treated is under 16, the treatment time will be 20 minutes but please do allow 30 minutes for a session.

Item dThis is very much dependent on each individual and each session. A treatment is generally very relaxing and you will continue to feel relaxed post treatment. In some situations, there is the possibility of your symptoms worsening as your body releases and responds to healing. If this happens, I will of course be available for you to contact to discuss any reactions to treatments.
-
There are no contraindications to receiving this treatment. If you are concerned though or are receiving any medical treatment, please consult a medical professional for their advice.
-
Yes. However please do advise me on any treatment you are receiving and anything I should be aware of in terms of providing a session for you.
-
Yes. I would recommend though that you let me know what other treatments your are receiving. I would also advise against beginning more than one new form of holistic treatment at one time. There is a possibility of overwhelming your body and your healing responses. It is also great to know how you personally can respond to a form of treatment which may become unclear if there are multiple forms of treatment at the same time.
-
This is entirely dependent on each person’s state of health, frequency of treatments and personal response.
-
Absolutely. Anyone from a new born baby can benefit from Spinal Flow. This can be particularly helpful if a baby has had any issues during birth or is experiencing issues in day to day health or sleep.
-
This is dependant on a person’s situation and accessibility to be able to come in for sessions. If a person’s situation is acute and / or chronic, frequent sessions close together are most beneficial.
If the situation requires and if the person finds it difficult to come in for treatments, longer session or multiple sessions in a day can certainly be arranged.

Spinal Flow is incredibly effective at helping us to connect to and release emotional issues regardless of when they occurred during our lives. We will often store emotions if we do not feel ready to deal with them at a given time and sometimes we can leave them stored. It’s amazing to be able to address this and move past any hold emotional issued can have on us.
-
At times, we are instantly aware of changes, shifts and healing. Other times it can be more gradual. If you join me for a course of Spinal Flow treatments, we will during the course of that time re-evaluate the main issues that brought you to Spinal Flow and assess your healing progress.

It controls all of our body functions. It regulates automatic functions like heart rate, breathing, digestion, body temperature and all of the other things our bodies do naturally and instinctively.
It’s also the bodies communication highway, transmitting the signals between your brain, spinal cord and every part of the body including muscles, organs and skin.
So if your nervous system isn’t working as efficiently as It could be, our body doesn’t function as well as it can.
-
The nervous system affects everything from tiny twitches to all the movements we make.
It’s what co-ordinates our movements and helps us learn to to use our bodies.
-
While massage can give symptomatic relief in muscles, digestion and other systems and functions of the body, it may not always be the approach that can resolve the root cause of what’s going on.
Spinal Flow can get to the reason why we’re experiencing symptoms of pain and discomfort and can be particularly effective if we repeatedly experience the same recurring symptoms.
By taking this approach, you address issues at a deeper level giving longer lasting health improvements.
-
Spinal Flow is a light touch treatment that does not involve adjustments or the cracking of joints which chiropractic can sometimes include.
For some, this may be a more comfortable form of addressing physical issues.
Spinal Flow will also address the impact of emotional, physical and chemical effects on the body whilst encouraging the bodies natural abilities to be activated.
